Abstract
Tanjong Katong Girls' School (TKGS) has been partnered with an all-girls school in Brunei , Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri (STPRI) under the school twinning programme. In this programme the schools will conduct joint activities for students such as camps, projects and exchange of visits.  In addition, students from both countries will engage in joint cultural, sports, adventure and leadership activities. During twinning programmes students will attend classes and participate in school activities. TKGS sent 8 students to the aforementioned school in Brunei . The objectives of this study trip are as follows:
  • Expose our students to different cultures and environments. 
  • Gain a better understanding of the regional and global environment.
  • Develop social and cultural skills in the process.
 
Introduction
Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri, also known as STPRI, is the first all-girls school in Brunei Darussalam. The school was formally opened in January 1957 and was known as Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan. On 1 st January 1958 , it was changed and formally named after the late Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman.
