SINGAPORE-THAILAND ENHANCED PARTNERSHIP (STEP)

STEP is part of the Government to Government programme where Singapore’s MOE works in partnership with foreign agencies to help foster friendship and ties in the educational sector. Activities in this programme include classroom immersions, visits to places of education interest, participation in student forums, home-stays and camps.  The objectives of the STEP programme are as follows:

To promote bilateral ties between Singapore and Thailand

An Annual exchange programme, STEP was started in 1998, involving 5 Secondary Schools from Singapore and 5 schools from Thailand. In 2002, another 2 Primary Schools and 3 Secondary Schools from Singapore and another 5 schools from Thailand came on board. Today the programme has expanded to include 10 Singapore and 10 Thailand schools.
