Information Systems & Services

The ISS Department is the key driving force behind the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to enhance teaching and learning in TKGS.

ICT has become an integral part of our life in this global economy. In TKGS, we aim to empower our staff and students with the ability to comprehend, integrate and use ICT for meaningful teaching and learning. The ICT laboratories in TKGS are not mere physical structures, to TKGians past and present, these labs are places where young impressionable minds blossom and timeless and important lessons of life are learnt. With four full ICT laboratories and two half laboratories providing state-of-the-art equipment such as LCD panels, interactive whiteboards, computer music keyboards and video editing software, students are constantly encouraged to chart their own learning using ICT.

As many of our students grow up with multi-layered and non-linear forms of media such as blogging, podcasting and video productions, the teachers continue to explore and use various ICT platform such as mobile carts, wireless infrastructure and mobile devices to inspire them to use their creativity and engage them in lessons. In TKGS, we aim to provide a platform to groom our young girls into future leaders who is equipped with the essential 21st century competencies.
